Certification 16 :
Occupational health and safety education requirement for select worker and management members of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) in a workplace with 20 or more employees covered by Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act. Certification confers additional rights on certified members of the JHSC such as the right to investigate ?dangerous circumstances and to direct a work stoppage in such a circumstance. The WSIB develops standards for certification, approves training programs and certifies people who meet the standards
