Certification Training
Certification Training : Special training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act for a minimum of one worker and one management member of a workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). Certification training is a two-part process: Part (1) Basic Certification Training - provides general health and safety information applicable to all workplaces e.g., the law, hazard recognition, control and community health and safety resources. Part (2) Workplace-Specific Hazard Training - workplace determines its own needs based on the results of a workplace hazards assessment conducted by the employer, which focuses on significant hazards in individual workplaces
