Manipulation with chemical substances and products requires paying attention to the warning symbols indicating potential hazards, to phrases defining specific risks and to instructions considering safe handling of such material. Manipulation with chemical substances and products involves a broad spectrum of activities such as production, distribution (import, export), packaging, labelling and transport of this kind of goods. Most chemical substances show one or more hazardous properties. There are some substances and products which we offer our customers, classified as Flammable (R 10), Harmful to Health (Xn), Irritating (Xi), and Sensitizing (R 42, R 43), and also substances and products that are not classified as hazardous. When purchasing substances and products classified as Explosive (E), Oxidizing (O), Extremely Flammable (F+), Highly Flammable (F), Highly Toxic (T+), Toxic (T), Corrosive (C), Carcinogenic (R 45, R 46), Mutagenic (R 46), Toxic for Reproduction (R 60, R 61), and Dangerous for the Environment (N or R 52, R 53) customer have to declare that material will be handled only by qualified person. Pharmaceutical materials and medical substances can be sold only to customers authorized for pharmaceuticals, i.e.to entities involved in healthcare and to legal entities that have their Good Distribution or Manufacturing practice certified by the State Institute for Drug Control (SIDC) - refer to Act No.79/1997, on Drugs and Pharmaceuticals. Chemicals in a quality meeting the current Czech Pharmacopoeia or European Pharmacopeia are provided only with test certificates of their manufacturers (without the certificates from SIDC). General characteristics of a dangerous products are described in the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), which the customer obtains gratis (either in printed or electronic version) with the first delivery or on request. MSDS consists of identification data from original producer of the dangerous substance. The MSDS's content complies with the Czech and EU law as well as the current state of knowledge. It can serve as general advice how to safely operate with the dangerous substance, allows adopting arrangements considering health preservation and work safety as well as environmental risks
