Child Protection Care Agreement : An child protection care agreement allows a child who has been determined to be in need of protection to be placed by the department in an out-of-home care placement to ensure their safety. A child protection care agreement may be used during intervention with parental agreement or ongoing intervention with a directive or supervision order. The child protection care agreement gives custody of the child to the chief executive while the agreement is in force. It can be for an initial period of 30 days and can be extended more than once
