Cholera 2
Cholera 2 : A severe acute infection of the intestines, characterised by profuse watery diarrhoea, vomiting, dehydration, muscle cramps and collapse. It is spread by the ingestion of foods and water contaminated by the faeces of infected (symptomatic or asymptomatic) persons. Several diarrhoeal diseases are diagnosed as cholera, but the latter is caused by the Vibrio cholerae. It is subject to international quarantine regulations
