Chrome Tubing 1

Chrome Tubing 1 :

(n.) Well Workover and Intervention. Tubing manufactured from an alloy containing a high proportion of chrome, typically greater than 13%. Chrome tubing is classified as a corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) and is used where the wellbore conditions or reservoir fluid create a corrosive environment that conventional tubing cannot safely withstand. Wells that produce hydrogen sulfide, and similar corrosive fluids, typically require chrome tubing. See: Corrosion-Resistant Alloy (CRA)
