Chronic Exposure 01 : (a) Long_term exposure, usually lasting one year to a lifetime. [CARB, 2000: Glossary of Air Pollution Terms]; (b) Multiple exposures occurring over an extended period of time, or a significant fraction of the animal's or the individual's lifetime. Chronic exposure may result in health effects (such as cancer) that are delayed in onset, occurring long after exposure has ceased.
