Class I, Division 2 Location 1 :
A location in which flammable gases may be present, but normally are confined within closed systems: are prevented from accumulating by adequate mechanical ventilation; or the location is adjacent to a Division1 location from which ignitable concentrations might occasionally be communicated. Group A: Atmospheres containing acetylene. Group B: Atmospheres containing hydrogen and other gases. Group C: Atmospheres containing hydrogen sulfide and other gases or vapors. Group D: Atmospheres containing butane, gasoline, hexane, methane, natural gas, propane and most other hydrocarbon gases and vapors encountered in oil and gas production. (RP 500 B)
