Crisis Action Planning (CAP) 4

Crisis Action Planning (CAP) 4 :

"When time is not a critical factor planners use a process called peacetime or deliberate planning. When the time available for planning is short and the near-term result is expected to be an actual deployment and/or employment of military forces, the planner uses crisis action planning (CAP) procedures". Regardless of which process is used, the basic procedures are the same for both adaptive, deliberate and crisis action planning: (1) receive and analyze the task to be accomplished (2) review the enemy situation and begin to collect necessary intelligence (3) develop and compare courses of action (4) select a course of action (COA) (5) develop and get approval for the selected COA (6) prepare a plan (7) then document the plan".
