Crisis Management 36 : The process by which an organization manages the wider impact of any situation until it is under control or a full BCP is invoked. It can be used in situations in which the main activities are external such as dealing with malicious rumours, hostage taking, product failure or product recall. Note: The BCI see no difference in this term and the term Incident Management. However this is part of an ongoing debate created by the release of UK Government sponsored PAS200 document which seeks to delineate between CM and BCM
