Culture of Preparedness 6

Culture of Preparedness 6 :

"Those who have had the most exposure to disasters tend to be the most prepared, but they are in the minority. We can create a broader culture of preparedness with relatively simple, low-cost measures like involving the public in the planning process, empowering them with information, and providing tools. In higher risk areas, we can involve the public more directly by assigning specific roles for disaster response and offering opportunities to interact with first responders and care providers during drills and emergencies". (PricewaterhouseCoopers, 2007, p. 4)
