Cumulative Seismic Moment : The sum of the seismic moments of earthquakes which have occurred in a region from a fixed starting time till time t, as a function of t. It can be related to the cumulative tectonic displacement across a plate boundary lying in the region, or to the cumulative tectonic strain within the region
