Cut-Scene

Cut-Scene : Non-interactive (often cinematic) moments in a gameplay experience. These scenes can convey a game's backstory, fiction, or convey any kind of information. Cut-scenes can even be scripted out of real-time gameplay. (Half-Real, chapter 3. with modifications by Richard Terrell (KirbyKid)). Cut-scenes are controversial in that they are non-playable parts of a game, but they have also been defended for providing context for the playing of the game (Klevjer 2002)
