Cytochrome P-448 :

Obsolete term for cytochrome P-450 I, A1, and A2, one of the major families of the cytochromes P-450 haemoproteins. During the mono-oxygenation of certain substances, often a detoxification process, these iso-enzymes may produce intermediates which initiate mutations, chemical carcinogenesis, immunotoxic reactions and other forms of chemicaltoxicity.
