Data Rate : (n.) Formation Evaluation. The Rate At Which Measurements Are Transmitted Between Logging Tool and Surface. In Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD), If The Data Rate is Low in Comparison With The Drilling or Tripping Speed, The Sampling Interval or The Amount of Data Transmitted Must Be Reduced or Else Information Will Be Lost. In Wireline Logging, The Data Rate Can Limit The Logging Speed or The Number of Tools in The Tool String.
