Adrenaline

Adrenaline : Chemistry and Chemical Disasters. (Ned; Pharm) A hormone produced by the adrenal gland in times of stress which constricts blood vessels (thus reducing the danger of blood loss), dilates air passages, and mobilizes sugar from the liver (thus increasing the fuel supply to muscles for flight or combat). Note: Used to aid breathing in asthmatics, to stimulate arrested hearts, and in local anesthetics to reduce bleeding. The adrenal gland also produces several hormones called steroids that regulate body metabolism and sex functions
