Dumb Image : A 'dumb' image is a raster image. It is considered 'dumb', in comparison to a vector file, drawing or map. Vector files can be used to automatically extract quantifiable information and to make smart alterations. Operations and simulations based on 'dumb' images compared to operations or simulations based on smart vector files, is like investing in vinyl records or magnetic cassette tapes.
