EER 1
EER 1 :
An abbreviation for energy efficiency rating, a U.S. measure of the efficiency of an air conditioner. The EER is computed as the cooling capacity of the unit (in Btu per hour) divided by the electric power consumed (in watts) at a temperature of 95 oF (35 oC) and under specified test conditions. Typical values are in the range 8-12. The EER is equal to 0.293 071 times the COP under the specified conditions. See also SEER, and energy factor (EF, below)
