Emergency Management Team 1 : "The Business Continuity Institute defines the EMT as 'the group of management staff who command the resources needed to recover the enterprise's operations at the recovery site.' I prefer to extend that concept to mean the group of executives who manage and control an emergency situation on behalf of the enterprise. In other words, these people are in charge of the destiny of the total enterprise, with all the attendant responsibility. Indeed it can be said that their influence extends beyond their own enterprise and may affect the long term success of a whole industry.
