Emergency Management Unit : (EMU): The Emergency Management Unit's role in an emergency may be one or more of the following: (1) to respond to, and in the initial stages, lead the authority's response, including the mobilization of staff and resources. (2) to provide advice to the Chief Executive Officer. (3) assist the North Somerset Emergency Controller with the development of forward planning. (4) assist the Incident Liaison Team. (5) assist the Gold Liaison Team. (6) assist the Recovery Working Group. (7) troubleshoot at Rest Centres etc
