Emissions Metrics
Emissions Metrics : The unit of measurement for the constituent emissions is grams per brake horsepower-hour (g/ hp-hr). This is the amount (in grams) of a particular constituent emitted by a locomotive's diesel engine for a given amount of mechanical work (brake horsepower) over one hour for a specified duty cycle. This measurement allows a ready comparison of the relative cleanliness of two engines, regardless of their rated power
