Employed Population :
This consists of those persons within the adult population, who: (a) Performed some work for pay or profit during the reference week; (b) Having already worked in their present job, were temporarily absent during the reference period because of illness, injury, industrial dispute, vacation or other leave of absence, or temporary disorganization of work due to such reasons as bad weather or mechanical breakdown; (c) Are self- employed? (d) Are unpaid family workers currently assisting in the operation of a business or farm, working for at least a particular number of hours per week; and (e) Are apprentices. The reference week is that week immediately preceding the date of enumeration (collection of data and statistics). This week can vary, since enumeration in a given period usually covers thirteen (13) weeks
