Employer 09 : A person who employs persons under contracts of employment or apprenticeship. The Queensland Act also includes persons who engage someone else to do work on a voluntary basis. For apprentices or trainees who are employed by a group training organisation, the employer is, when the apprentice or trainee is engaged to do work for a host employer, the host employer, or otherwise, the group training scheme
