Encapsulation 04 : (1) Covering with a coating or sealing in capsules. The material encapsulated may be released by impact, solution, heat, etc. If powders are coated in this way it is called microencapsulation (2) Provision of a tightly fitting envelope of material to protect an article, e. g. coating an electronic component with a resin to protect it from the environment
