Enersludge :
An OFS process for making fuel oil from sewage sludge. The dried sludge is heated to 450oC in the absence of oxygen, thereby vaporizing about half of it. The vapors are then contacted with hot char from the reaction zone, where catalyzed reactions and thermal cracking convert the lipids and proteins to hydrocarbons. The oil yield is variable and typically 25 percent of the sludge mass
