Engineering Seismology
Engineering Seismology : That part of seismology which aims primarily at providing seismological data for earthquake engineering, earthquake hazard and earthquake risk applications. Such data are groundmotion parameter data (intensity, peak values of ground displacement, velocity and acceleration), time series and spectra of ground motions for response modeling of structures, for assessing spectral site-amplification effects, ground shaking scenario modeling, liquefaction potential, etc. See Chapter 15 of this Manual and Campbell (2003)
