Affiliation
Affiliation : The association of a labour organization (trade union or trade union grouping) with a larger umbrella or 'blanket' labour organization (trades union grouping). Examples of this would include the membership of national unions into the national centre/federation (trades union congress/council), and the membership of national unions or federations into international federations, such as the ICFTU and the ITS's. The smaller organizations which relate to the larger 'blanket' organization are known as the 'Affiliates'
