Equivalent Dose (Radiation) 1
Equivalent Dose (Radiation) 1 : The product of the absorbed dose with a radiation weighting factor to allow for the biological effectiveness of the type of radiation. The radiation weighting factors for X and gamma radiation are equal to 1.0. In this case the equivalent dose is numerically equal to the absorbed dose. The units are sieverts (Sv).
