Existing Chemicals : Substances in use within the EU before September 1981 and listed in EINECS. EINECS contains 100,106 entries including chemicals, substances produced from natural products by chemical modification or purification, such as metals, minerals, cement, refined oil and gas; substances produced from plants and animals; active substances of pesticides, medicaments, fertilisers and cosmetic products; food additives; a few natural polymers; some waste and by-products.
