Faraday's Laws : The laws, enunciating chemical changes produced by the passage of an electric current through an electrolyte: (1) The amount of chemical decomposition produced by an electric current, i. e. the amount of any substance deposited or dissolved, at an electrode, is proportional to the quantity of electricity passed. (2) The amounts of different substances deposited or dissolved at an electrode by the same quantity of electricity are proportional to their chemical equivalent weights
