Fatigue (Mechanical) : The loss of properties due to repetitions of stress such as repeated loading and unloading. In testing a given material, different ranges of stress are employed, and a curve plotted showing the relation between stress range and number of cycles before failure. The maximum stress which a material will withstand is called the fatigue limit or endurance limit
