Federal Operations Support (FOS) (Object Class 2501)
Federal Operations Support (FOS) (Object Class 2501) : A type of Mission Assignment "defined as one Federal agency providing direct technical, operational, or logistical support to FEMA or another responding Federal agency. FOS is 100-percent federally funded and may be provided prior to a Presidential declaration of a major disaster or emergency. Example: A mission assignment issued to U.S. Forest Service (USFS) to establish and operate a base camp to provide housing for Federal disaster workers.
