Federal Response Plan (FRP) 01 : (1) The plan designed to address the consequences of any disaster or emergency situation in which there is a need for Federal assistance under the authorities of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (2) The FRP is the Federal government's plan of action for assisting affected States and local jurisdictions in the event of a major disaster or emergency. As the implementing document for the Stafford Act, the FRP organizes the Federal response by grouping potential response requirements into 12 functional categories, called Emergency Support Functions. The FRP was completed in April 1992, and 29 Federal departments and agencies are signatories to the plan. (FRERP)
