AIO 2 : Ambulance Incident Officer. AIO is the officer of the ambulance service with overall responsibility for the work of that service at the scene of a major incident. Works in close liaison with the Medical Incident Officer (MIO) to ensure effective use of the medical and ambulance resources at the scene
