FEMA Emergency Management Higher Education Program Objectives : (1) Encourage and support the increase in the number of EM collegiate programs in the US. (2) Support the continued growth of existing emergency management collegiate programs. (3) Nurture the sense of an Emergency Management Higher Education Community. (4) Support the continuing transformational professionalization of emergency management through formal education, training material access, and experiential learning within the formal education environment. (5) Strengthen core emergency management capabilities, competencies, and capacities through emergency management higher education. (6) Facilitate a national public-private effort to promulgate best practices and methodologies that promote emergency management professionalism and refinement of the academic discipline of emergency management
