FEMA Emergency Management Higher Education Program Tasks : (1) Develop, acquire and make freely-available educational college-level courses, books and other materials in support of the emergency management higher education and professional communities. (2) Assist in the development and refinement of emergency management collegiate curricula. (3) Grow the clearinghouse list-serve communications channel to the EM Hi-Ed Community. (3.a) Share research and survey results (3.b) Share educational resources (3.c) Share best practices in collegiate emergency management program growth (3.d) Share best practices in collegiate emergency management experiential learning (3.e) Share governmental emergency management and related materials (3.f) Support the EMI goal of enhancing mission success by adopting results orientated business approach through the use of GovDelivery. GovDelivery operates in conjunction with EMI internet website and supports the dissemination of EM Hi- Ed Reports to all subscribers. (4) Maintain the Guide to Emergency Management Terms, Definitions, and Programs. (5) Maintain the Bibliography of Emergency Management and Related References. (6) Host a unique annual Emergency Management Higher Education Conference which serves the needs of the emergency management higher education and emergency management professional communities. (7) Support, collect, publicize and work toward a more consensual sense of the composition of the Emergency Management Body of Knowledge. (8) Maintain a body of knowledge depository of emergency management materials. (9) Maintain The College List of all U.S. institutions of higher education with EM programs. (10) Support efforts to regularize distinctions between emergency management curricula at the Associate, Bachelors, and graduate Masters and Doctoral levels. (11) Solicit and maintain case studies of Experiential Learning in Emergency Management. (12) Serve as a clearinghouse for the transfer of Emergency Management Institute vocationallevel training courses to the EM Hi-Ed Community. (13) Support the collection of and publicize data on the status of EM Higher Education. (14) Support the Emergency Management Roundtable (15) Sponsor production of annual reports on the state of the Emer. Mgmt. Hi-Ed community. (16) Facilitate a national public-private effort to promulgate best practices and methodologies that promote emergency management professionalism and refinement of the academic discipline of emergency management through such tools as the collection of best practices through maintenance and expansion of such tools as the "Practitioners Corner," the "Syllabi Compilation," the "Growing Your EM Program," and the "Articles, Papers and Presentations," on the FEWMA EM-Hi-Ed Program Website
