FEMA National Advisory Council Mission 2 : "The mission of the National Advisory Council is to ensure effective and ongoing coordination of national Preparedness, protection, response, recovery and mitigation for natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other man-made disasters by: Incorporation input from Tribal, State and local governments, and the public and private sectors; Providing an avenue for feedback, suggestions and constructive criticisms from the diverse government, private sector and nonprofit partners involved in any disaster activities; and Providing a venue for input during the development and revision of the National Preparedness Goal; national preparedness system, National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Response Plan (NRP) and other related plans and strategies".
