Flow Failure
Flow Failure : Liquefaction-induced failure of a slope or embankment underlain by contractive soils leading to large, rapid ground displacements. These failures are characterized by large loss of shear strength, large lateral displacements (several meters or more), and severe disturbance to the liquefied and overlying soil layers.
