The Charges levied on any Cargo for Carriage from one Port to another Port are Called the Freight Charges, these charges are charged on following: Deadweight Cargo Freight: The Cargo which has the Freight Charges levied according to it's weight is called a Deadweight Cargo. Example - Steel. Measurement Cargo Freight: The Cargo which has the Freight Charges levied according to it's measurement is called a Measurement Cargo. Example - cotton
