Fuel Moisture Sticks

Fuel Moisture Sticks : A specially prepared wooden device of known dry weight that when periodically weighed, after being continuously exposed to the weather elements, indicates changes in the moisture status and relative flammability of certain dead fuels. (In British Columbia, a standard set of fuel moisture sticks consists of four pieces of small diameter Douglas-fir dowelling that have an oven dry weight of 100 grams (g); any weight in excess of this represents the moisture content)
