Fulgurites 2
Fulgurites 2 : Natural hollow glass tubes or clumps that form in sand, silica or soil after a lightning strike or an electrical discharge from a power conductor. Fulgurites are formed when the high temperature of an electrical discharge instantaneously melts and fuses grains of sand together to produce silica glass. The process leaves evidence of the path of the electrical discharge, sometimes many metres below the ground surface
