Functional Baseline
Functional Baseline : (1) Established after the system requirements analysis/design activity has completed the definition of the system functions and associated data, interface characteristics, functional characteristics for key configuration items, and tests required to demonstrate achievement of each specified characteristic. This baseline is normally controlled by the Government. (2) In configuration management, the initial approved technical documentation for a configuration item. (3) Documentation describing a system's functional characteristics and the verification required to demonstrate the achievement of requirements
