General Industry Charge
General Industry Charge : An annual charge levied on the biocides industry to recover ongoing costs incurred by the UK authorities in operating the regulatory system. The GIC is separate to the fees charged for the processing of applications for product authorisation/registration or inclusion of active substances on the Union list of approved active substances etc., and covers those costs which cannot be attributed to specific applications
