Geostrophic Wind 1
Geostrophic Wind 1 : (Meteor) A hypothetical wind corresponding to exact balance between corollas acceleration force and horizontal pressure. The concept is used to approximate wind fields from pressure data for large areas in which few wind observations are available. See also: Gradient Wind; Wind
