Glass Fibre 2 : Glass is melted and drawn out by steam into fibres which can be spun into threads and woven into tapes or cloths by normal process or they can be formed into slabs or quilts, rigid, bitumen-bonded, resin-bonded or loose. When bonded with resin it has a fire propagation index of about 7. Glass fibre is also used as reinforcement to provide strength. Glass fibre reinforced plaster has a similar function to plasterboard but has a better fire performance
