Gondwana 1
Gondwana 1 : The proto-continent of the southern hemisphere in the late Paleozoic (See: Geologic Time). It included Australia, South America and Antarctica, as well as India, before they were drifting away from one another. It was named by the Austrian geologist Eduard Suess after Gondwana, a historic region in Central India. See: Uyeda (2002), Duff (1993), and Hancock and Skinner (2000)
