Good Samaritan Law 2 :

These statutes enacted by many state legislatures. generally hold that when a passer-by renders emergency aid to a person in distress, the helper is immune from suit for any reasonable actions s/he takes in good faith that might have inadvertently resulted in further harm to the victim.
