Government Emergency Telecommunications Systems (GETS) : GETS is a service offered by the Office of the Manager, National Communications System (OMNCS), to meet national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) requirements for the use of public, defense, or federal telephone networks by federal, state and local government and other authorized users. GETS provides emergency access and specialized processing in local and long-distance telephone networks. GETS access is through a simple dialing plan and personal identification number (PIN).
