Governors Homeland Security Advisors Council 2007 Survey Top Five Priorities :

For the 2007 survey, the NGA Center polled the 56 state and territorial homeland security advisors who, collectively, comprise the Governors Homeland Security Advisors Council. The survey results reflect the participation of roughly 80 percent of those officials This year's survey shows that the top five priorities for states in 2007 were, in order: (1) Developing interoperable communications; (2) Coordinating state and local efforts; (3) Protecting critical infrastructure; (4) Developing state fusion centers; and (5) Strengthening citizen preparedness.
