Ground Oscillation


Ground Oscillation : A geotechnical term specifying a ground condition in which liquefaction of subsurface layers decouples overlying nonliquefied layers from the underlying firm ground, allowing large transient ground motions or ground waves to develop within the liquefied and overlying layers.
